The annual SMA-OLA Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine took place on Saturday last, May 26th. Upwards of one thousand people from across the island of Ireland were present for the occasion which was blessed with very favourable weather. The theme for this year's Pilgrimage was 'We are Missionary Family'. The day began with the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It was followed by Rosary, Stations of the Cross and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  Chief Celebrant for mass in the Basilica was Fr Michael McCabe, SMA Provincial. Fr Gerry Sweeney, SMA, delivered the homily in which in noted that 'without the family, life would not work at all'. Anointing of the Sick took place during the Mass. The service was enriched by the beautiful musical tones of the Monasterevin Gospel Choir and the Loreto House Spiritual Formation Group.
